Concept by Firehawk
What kind of story is it to be?
Action/Drama
What is the setting?
Aboard the Saratoga mostly, some "Space" scenes (aka Hammerhead dogfights).
Who is the main character in the story?
Nathan West
In the story you plan to tell, what does this character see as his problem?
Nathan begins to doubt his role in the war, while he did get what he wanted,
mainly Kyla (I don't remember the spelling :( ), he lost so much in return.
It first started with the loss of Neil, his brother, and then augmented with
the loss of Wang, 'Phousse and Vansen. He feels that he sacrificed the
lives of his brother and his other "family" just for his own selfish need to
save his true love. He needs to get over his angst and melancholy, he needs
to realize that even if his girlfriend (I don't remember what their exact
relationship was, but I don't think they were married or engaged or
something like that) was his driving force for joining the Marine Corp, that
later on, he learned to grow beyond that and actually develop a need for
fighting the Chigs and fighting for the survival of humanity. If he doesn't
believe it, why would he keep fighting? He did what he joined up to do...
save Kyla.
Why is it so vital for this character to reach his goal?
He has to decide whether he will stay and fight, or go home and
sulk.
If there is to be some overt conflict in your story who is your antagonist character?
Horse
What is this villain like?
The villain would be like the character profile of Horse. He would be seem
to know everyone, and be a bit pushy.
What is the villains plan?
His plan would be to try to push West to the edge of washing out of the MC.
Why is it essential to your villains happiness to fight the hero?
Horse is dealing with the loss of his own squadron by using West as a
conduit for his anger and perhaps self pity.
He has to do this, or he might be the one that washes out.
Which secondary characters might contribute to the story?
Hawkes, I'm thinking about a near death scene with him, while West deals
with his emotions and "Inner self".
What characters are going to be introduced?
Horse and Edward Loughton
What is the time frame of the story?
The time frame should be less than a day.
How and when does the story start?
This is a few hours after the last episode, McQueen gets shipped off the
Saratoga to a Medical Ship for transport back to earth, and Hawkes and West
are temporarily reassigned to the <insert number> Squadron to fill in the
gap until the 58th can be rebuilt. SARs are out there searching for the APC
with Wang and on Demios for Vansen and Damphouse. So there isn't any
confirmation on who lives yet.
How and when is the story to end?
What is the ending going to mean?
West gets a new driving force for fighting for the Marine Corp. He knows
that people are still depending on him, his family, Hawkes, his temporary
squadron, his friends, people he doesn't even know and even Aerotech.
West is regains his confidence and is "rejuvinated (yuck, my spelling)".
How does the main character's experiences effect the secondary
characters in the story?
Hawkes "bonds" with West even more, he himself was having a similar
conflict, and he overcomes it aswell. The people from the squadron they are
assigned to are "supportive" in an "I don't know you, but we have to work
with each other" kind of way.
Describe in thirty words or less what your story is about?
After saving the love of his life, Kyla, West and Hawkes return to the
Saratoga as the only known and confirmed survivors of the 58th. West and
Hawkes are temporarily reassigned to a new squadron, and West has to deal
with an opponent he has to fight alone... himself. He has to overcome his
angst quickly, because the Chigs are on the move, and are attack the
Saratoga...
What is the background of your story?
Everything that happened during the first season, but dealing more with the
post-"last episode" effects on West.
A2
Concept by Firehawk
What kind of story is it to be?
Drama
What is the setting?
Earth, throughout many major cities.
Who is the main character in the story?
(You may say we dont need this question but I would disagree. In every story on
S:AAB there was always one character who was the focus. In Sugar Dirt is was Vansen where
she had to keep the group together. In "To touch the Stars" (I believe that is
the title) the main character was Wang who was dealing with his lack of faith. If you look
at any Space episode you will find one character who the show is focusing on.)
In the story you plan to tell, what does this character see as his problem?
Doesn't directly involve any Characters that are usually seen on the show
(or our new characters), but more on their families and friends (Nathan's
parents, Vansen's sisters, etc). This also involves Aerotech, and what will happen to
them, as well as the former Aerotech Exec, and current President, Diane Harding (I think
that's
it).
Why is it so vital for this character to reach his goal?
The civillians of earth are questioning the validity of the Chig's statement
that the humans went to their territory first, and that they were on Earth
first. (If this was not known to the public, it could be a media leak).
Aerotech faces immediate bad media, and the President, wanting the public
eye rather on Aerotech than on herself, declares ignorance of Aerotech's
plans and launches a full scale "investigation".
The people of Earth obviously want answers, they want to know why this war
really started, and if the Chig was really telling the truth or not.
Aerotech wants to "clear it's name of all wrong doing" and convince that
people that the Chigs started the war, otherwise, their plans might not be
able to continue.
The President just wants to stay President, without having to clamp down and
declare marshal law.
If there is to be some overt conflict in your story who is your antagonist character?
Well, the villain to the people and the specific families/friends of the
58th, would be Aerotech, because they want to find the truth to the war.
Aerotech's villains are the people, and the President in that they both aim
to bring down Aerotech in some way or another.
The President's villains are the people, and perhaps Aerotech, in that they
can bring her down.
What is this villain like?
People's villain - Always evasive, not providing any answers other than the
"No comment."
Aerotech's villains - The people are restless and could do almost anything
to them (ie, terrorist attacks). Getting no support from the President also
doesn't help
What is the villains plan?
Aerotech's plan would be to be able to continue whatever plans they may
have, of course. The President just wants to stay in power, since it's one of her only
sources of immunity.
Why is it essential to your villains happiness to fight the hero?
Aerotech must convince the people that they are doing the right thing, or
they could lose everything they've worked for.
The President needs to fight Aerotech to distract the people, making it look
like she wants to know the truth too.
Which secondary characters might contribute to the story?
I'm not sure... perhaps Aerotech could be the sole "main character", while
the rest of the people and the President become the secondaries?
What characters are going to be introduced?
None
What is the time frame of the story?
A few days
How and when does the story start?
Perhaps a few episodes after the first episode of the season
How and when is the story to end?
Aerotech stays in business, and somehow diverts the blame to the President.
What is the ending going to mean?
It'll mean that Aerotech will still be in power, and that probably no one at
this time can stop them from completing whatever goals they may have.
How does the main character's experiences effect the secondary
characters in the story?
Since Aerotech's validity is still sound, and that the people are convinced
that they have to fight the "Big bad evil Chigs", the war continues, and the
incident from the last episode of the 1st season are disregarded.
Describe in thirty words or less what your story is about?
Aerotech. A government contracted corporation that perhaps knows more
that
the government it works for. The Chigs blame the humans for invading their
territory, is this true? Did Aerotech know about the Chigs when they sent
the two doomed colonial missions? Or is Aerotech the "good guy"? Do
they
just want to save humanity from the Chigs?
What is the background of your story?
This story would be based on all the shady dealings Aerotech have had during
the war. This would also be based on the family background of the 58th, giving scenes
to the families of the main characters of the show.
A3
Concept by Sheelba
What kind of story is it to be?
Drama
What is the setting?
On a planet called Janus. It is a dry, dusty planet with constant sand storms
and an atmosphere that is unbreathable.
Who is the main character in the story?
Peyta
In the story you plan to tell, what does this character see as his problem?
Hawks and West are his problem, he wants to find a way to force them out of the squad
and the military.
Why is it so vital for this character to reach his goal?
He considers himself a warrior and thinks that the actions of West and Hawks were
unconscionable and he does not trust them to watch his back. He considers the legend
of the 58th as being overblown and thinks that the lot of them were bad soldiers. In
Payta's opinion the only reason why the 58th was able to accomplish what they did was
luck, not skill.
If there is to be some overt conflict in your story who is your antagonist character?
Hawks and West
What is the villains plan?
Hawks and West are single minded in their determination to show that the 58th deserved
it's reputtion. Whenever Peyta tells them that they cannot do something, they make a
determined effort to accomplish the impossible.
Why is it essential to your villains happiness to fight the hero?
After the loss of the previous Wildcards, Hawks and West become resolute in
showing respect for their lost friends. They are determined to show that the 58th
earned it's previous reputation and is intent on bringing that reputation back once again.
Which secondary characters might contribute to the story?
West and Hawks.
What characters are going to be introduced?
All of the new characters except Otto and Loughton.
What is the time frame of the story?
Twelve Hours
How and when does the story start?
With the 58th flying escort for the 92nd on approach to Janus. After they have
gotten the 92nd safely on the planet they are to land and provide backup support.
How and when is the story to end?
Hawks and West volunteer with Peyta for a dangerous assignment that ends in saving the
58th and the remainder of the retreating troops. Their assignment is to protect the
west flank during the final phase of the evacuation from the planet. They are
expecting some conflict, but when the Chigs start a large push against the west flank
Peyta, West, and Hawks find themselves the primary line of defense against the push.
While they wait for reinforcements Peyta gains a new respect for West and Hawks as
they show they are as unwilling to budge from the fight as Peyta himself was. In the
final scene, Peyta joins West and Hawks at the funeral ceremony for Wang, Damphouse, and
Vansen (Previously Ross refused to hold the ceremony until he could confirm their deaths.
Although Wangs remains are recovered, he was not able to confirm the fate of Vansen
and Damphouse due to the Chigs heavy reinforcements of that area of space and the need to
join in the evacuation effort of Janus).
What is the ending going to mean?
Peyta not only supports the remaining 58th members, he himself joins West and Hawks in
a crusade to redeem the good name of the Wild Cards.
How does the main character's experiences effect the secondary
characters in the story?
Hawks, although glad the pressure is off from Peyta's side, is skeptical and will only
truly trust Peyta when he has proven over time that he is truly on his side and the side
of the 58th. West is grateful and unskeptical that Peyta is as determined to redeam
the name of the Wildcards as he is.
Describe in thirty words or less what your story is about?
While assisting an evacuation of the planet Janus, West and
Hawks must defend the past actions of the 58th from a new member of the Wildcards.
What is the background of your story?
Following the Debacle of the peace negotiations and Operation Round Hammer, Earth
forces find themselves retreating from previosly held space in an effort to regroup and
save themselves from disaster.
The body of Wang has been recovered, but the death or life of Vansen and Damphouse
is still in question, although they to are presumed dead. Attempts to send in squads
to try and recover the lost marines were turned back by large numbers of Chig forces in
that area.

position and waits. When the chigs show up a violent battle errupts.
The 58 ships begin to run out of fule and ammo just as the battle
group arrives to stop the chigs relentless advance.
What is the ending going to mean?

Concept by Adrian
Veiwpoint character: Vansen
Situation: Vansen and Phouse are trapped on some hostlie planet (Anvil?). Phouse is
uncounscious from the crash but in critical condition. Chigs are alerted to their
presence, but with the fleet in retreat, they have bigger fish to fry. The Chigs arent
willing to ignore the potential threat however, and so they only dispatch a small
detachment to deal with the marooned duo. Vansen carries Phouse to a small cave were they
intend to wait for SAR as long as possible. With small chig groups bearing down on them,
Vansen has to take charge and defend as long as possible.
Problem: Vansen is completely alone, only using her instincts for survival to drive
her. With no one to talk to she beggins to become more agressive and unstable. She
gradualy begins to loose herself in a desperate situation. Eventualy Vansen goes berserk,
and begins to kill chigs extreemley violently. Slowly her instinct for survival begins to
consume her. This causes her to fall into herself and forget all about Phouse and
concentrate solely on her survival. The price however will be her humanity.
